Because barrier applications break down over time, most seasonal mosquito programs revisit on a regular cadence through the season rather than treating once and calling it done.
What to ask about the interval
- How often will you come out, and why that interval?
- Does the schedule change with the season or weather?
- What happens if mosquitoes return between visits — is a re-treatment included?
- Am I locked into the full season, or can I adjust?
A provider should be able to explain their schedule in plain terms. If the interval sounds arbitrary or the contract is rigid, that's worth a second look.
There's no universal 'correct' frequency — it depends on your climate, your property, and the product. The point is that the provider can justify it and put it in writing.
